There will be well over 3,000,000 by 2008. That’s the latest orphan statistic in the new South Africa. There is an extreme sense of urgency regarding the South African orphan crisis that is demanding a response. South Africa is already,
Crime capital of the world
Rape capital of the world
2nd most murderous society on earth
AIDS capital of the world
The executive director of one of the world largest charities said,
‘ Almost without exception, children orphaned by AIDS are marginalised, stigmatized, malnourished, uneducated and psychologically damaged.’
South Africa as a country cannot afford to have 3 million orphans walking the streets If we don’t rescue these children and place them in loving homesteads then I believe like so many others that the future of South Africa is extremely bleak.AIDS expert and Author Neville Curle believes that if nothing is done countries in southern Africa will have to resort to dictatorships and military rule in order to control the people and curb out of control crime levels. Basically there is a window of opportunity as far as these orphans go. History is littered with cases of inaction that lead to very grave consequences. Let us not be responsible for another one.
Lets house these 3,000,000 children now.
Project O is literally a lifeline to these children.
If we don’t act now and stop this anarchy in the making then maybe the recent words of a prominent South African politician will become reality, he said ‘South Africa is on the verge of irreversible decline’ We must act today!
The fierce urgency of now!
I write today remind South Africa of the fierce urgency of now!
3,000,000 orphans
Now is the time.
Now is the time.
I am alarmed. I want somebody to feel alarmed with me.
Now is the time
-For all people of SA to come together and do what everit takes to reach these 3 million children
Now is the time
- For us all to come together and sacrifice things to house these 3 million children.
Sometimes it falls on the shoulders of a generation to do something great!
I don’t believe that there is any doubt that we are one of those generations.
It will be fatal for the nation for us to overlook the urgency of the moment!
We must act today.
We are asking for an international response.

CHILD SPONSORSHIP
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual or a group of people to do something of incalculable worth. These children’s homes will be vital tools in fighting this epidemic that is threatening to destroy not only this generation but also those to come. Absolutely nothing compares in importance with trying to sustain the lives of these extremely desperate children in his care.
WHAT IS CHILD SPONSORSHIP?
Child sponsorship is a way of fully supporting a child long term whilst providing a highly rewarding experience to sponsors. It creates a direct connection between the sponsors and a child of their choice; this allows a personal relationship to develop. The sponsor will see directly how their money is equipping their child for a dramatically brighter future.
WILL YOU HELP?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SPONSOR A CHILD?
WHEN YOU SPONSOR A CHILD YOU ARE AGREEING TO MAKE A £31 CONTRIBUTION EACH MONTH, EACH MONTHLY PAYMENT PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING:
JUST £19 or R280 PER MONTH WILL;
·HELP SUPPORT A CHILD IN A CHRISTIAN RUN ‘HOMESTEAD’ OF NO MORE THAN SIX CHILDREN IN EACH
· Or alternatively support them in their current home until space is available in one of our children’s homes or continue to support them there if the situation is an acceptable one.
·Place your child in on going full time education.
·Provide all school uniforms and supplies ongoing
· PLACE A CHILD UNDER THE TEACHINGS OF HIV/AIDS EDUCATION
·We will meet many of the needs of your child through your support!
Your financial gift is just the start. As you see fit you can write to your child to encourage them through life’s challenges and struggles. For the children, too young and/or un-educated, to understand English, the letters will be translated both into and out of their language so you can read their letters.
As a sponsor you will receive automatically, free, all Project O publications that highlight all the on going projects we are conducting, now, and those we plan on conducting in the near future.
The hardest part of this would be deciding on which child to choose. The situation in this part of the world is so dire due to the massive impact of HIV/AIDS. Many of the children available for sponsorship will be living with HIV or full-blown AIDS. These children will be greatly encouraged to know that they are not forgotten and that somebody, even on the other side of the world, loves them and is praying for them.
Child sponsorship really is a rare opportunity to continually demonstrate the love of Christ as you stay in communication with your child. You are literally giving these children hope. A hope they have never had before.
You can radically affect a child’s life –Can you afford not to?
